MY Teaching Philosophy:

Teaching young minds is not a task that can be taken lightly. It is full of frustrations, challenges, and responsibilities. However, it is also full of excitement, joy, and wonder. I strongly believe that every child is capable of learning , if they have proper motivation and instruction from their teacher. As a teacher I need to be up to date on all the latest teaching styles and strategies to best reach my students and push them to their full potential. It is my duty to make sure that all my students are motivated to do their best. They deserve my full time and attention in regards to their education.

I also want to create a classroom that is safe learning environment for all. If students do not feel safe, whether it is emotionally, physically, or socially, they will build a defensive wall and learning will slow down or shut down completely. It is important to me that my parents, other teachers, administrators, and people in the community, see me as someone that they can approach and who will be fair and nondiscriminatory.

Classroom organization is also an important concept to consider when teaching. If students are in a classroom that is disorganized or set up in a way that hinders learning, it is not a good situation for anyone. I strive to find creative and interesting ways to set up my classroom to help my students learn. I also believe that the content I teach should have a real world application, and be meaningful and enjoyable for my students. If students do not see a purpose to their learning, they will not be interested in it. High energy and positivity are key characteristics that a teacher needs to possess to have a successful learning environment.
